Brand Usage Guidelines

Last updated: September 2026 · Version 1.0

These guidelines apply to anyone outside Aranis who refers to the brand: press, customers, partners, integrators, consultancies and content authors. They grant no license to the platform itself — that is covered by the Terms of Use. Questions and permission requests: brand@aranis.ai

1. Ownership

The name Aranis, the name Ara, the logo, the brand icon, the mascot, the visual identity and the Filament design system are distinctive signs and works owned by Aranis Tecnologia em Desenvolvimento de Software Não Customizável Ltda., Brazilian company registry (CNPJ) 68.129.114/0001-70, and are protected by intellectual property rights.

Nothing on this page transfers ownership. Authorized use is always a limited, revocable, non-exclusive permission granted under the terms below. All goodwill from such use accrues to the owner.

2. How the brand is structured

There are four layers with distinct roles. Swapping one for another is the most common mistake in writing about Aranis:

  • Aranis — the commercial brand of the platform. It signs the site, the product, content and commercial material.
  • Aranis Tecnologia — the legal entity. It appears in contracts, invoices and legal footers.
  • Ara — the artificial intelligence inside the product. It is not the brand and never replaces the logo.
  • Mascot — the illustrated representation of the brand. It has its own guidelines and never works as a logo.

3. How to write the name

  • Aranis, always capital A and lowercase after it. Never ARANIS in running text, never aranis.
  • The name does not inflect, does not become a verb and takes no plural.
  • Do not translate, transliterate or abbreviate the name.
  • On first mention, prefer the Aranis platform; after that, Aranis alone.
  • Aranis is a brand, not a common noun: write "Aranis automates vendor assessment", not "an Aranis".

4. What is allowed without asking

Allowed, as long as it is true

  • Referring to Aranis by name, in text, to factually describe the platform or the company.
  • Reporting, reviewing, commenting or comparing honestly — including competitive comparisons, as long as they are verifiable.
  • Stating that your company uses the Aranis platform, or that you are a customer.
  • Describing, in text, a real integration between your product and the Aranis platform.
  • Using the name in technical documentation, internal training material and vendor questionnaire responses.
  • Citing Aranis in academic work and market research.

Never allowed

  • Implying a partnership, sponsorship, endorsement, certification or approval that does not exist.
  • Using the name or logo as part of your company, product, app, domain, social handle or repository name.
  • Registering a trademark, domain or handle containing Aranis or confusingly similar to it.
  • Bidding on Aranis as an advertising keyword, or using the name in SEO to divert traffic.
  • Applying the brand in unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or adult contexts, or any context that harms the owner’s reputation.
  • Issuing a token, NFT or digital asset using the brand.
  • Using the mascot or the Ara icon as if they were the logo.

One rule sits behind the list: reference is free, association is not. Say what Aranis is, without implying that Aranis endorses you.

5. What requires written permission

These uses are reviewed case by case and need prior written permission. Send requests to brand@aranis.ai, attaching the material and the publication date:

  • Any use of the logo or the icon beyond what section 6 allows.
  • Co-branding, joint signatures, partner badges and channel material.
  • Events, sponsorships, booths, stages and trade show material.
  • Merchandise, giveaways, embroidery, engraving and promotional print.
  • Use of the brand in the title or cover of a book, course, podcast or channel.
  • Joint case studies, customer testimonials and named quotes in press releases.
  • Use of the mascot, or any new variation of the signature.

Permission covers the approved material, channel and period. A new use needs a new request. Responses within 5 business days.

6. Logo application rules

When logo use is authorized, it follows the Brand Manual. The essentials:

Choosing the file

  • File names follow the destination background, not the ink color: light is for light backgrounds, dark is for dark backgrounds.
  • Always use the horizontal signature. The icon is only for places where the signature cannot fit legibly — favicon, avatar, seal, small physical application.
  • SVG on the web, PDF or EPS in print, PNG with transparency where SVG is not accepted. JPG only where the platform rejects transparency.

Space and size

  • Clear space: at least X ÷ 2 on all four sides, where X is the height of the symbol. Nothing enters that margin.
  • Minimum signature size: 120 px wide on screen, 25 mm in print. Below that, switch to the icon.
  • Minimum icon size: 16 px tall on screen, 6 mm in print.
  • The icon is not square — it is 12.7% wider than tall. In a square box, center it with clearance; never stretch it to fill.

Backgrounds

  • Dark backgrounds are the preferred application. Neutral light backgrounds serve documents and print.
  • Over photo or video, only where the area under the signature is uniform and dark. Otherwise apply a solid box or a dark scrim first.
  • Never place the signature over the brand gradient — the symbol disappears into its own color.
  • The signature text needs 4.5:1 contrast. On mid-luminance backgrounds, change the background — not the logo.

Prohibited alterations

  • Stretching, squashing, distorting, rotating or setting it vertically.
  • Recoloring the symbol, reversing the gradient or applying a gradient to the wordmark.
  • Removing the cyan detail on the "R".
  • Retyping the name in another font to simulate the logo, or reproducing it in CSS.
  • Adding shadow, outline, glow, bevel or reflection.
  • Enclosing the signature in an unplanned geometric shape, or composing a new lockup.

7. Brand colors

The palette comes from the logo. Use it to cite the brand, not to imitate the Aranis visual identity in your own material.

  • Cyan #00CFF3 — primary accent
  • Cyan bright #00FFFF — highlight, never as a large flat area
  • Violet soft #7C4FFF — transition
  • Violet #9A24FF — emphasis and depth
  • Navy #000080 — structural contrast, used sparingly

8. Official files

These are the only official files. Download them at each use — a copy kept in a project folder ages and comes back as the wrong version.

Mono and stacked vertical versions do not exist as files yet. Where they would be needed, use the icon or request the material at brand@aranis.ai. The full Brand Manual and PDF/EPS files for print are sent on request.

9. Third-party trademarks

NIST, ISO, AWS, Slack, Microsoft Teams and other marks cited on the site and in the product belong to their respective owners. Mentioning a framework or an integration describes technical compatibility and implies no certification, endorsement or affiliation, in either direction.

10. Misuse and validity

Use outside these guidelines may be stopped at any time, with a request to remove the material. Report third-party misuse to brand@aranis.ai.

These guidelines may be updated. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top. Permissions already granted remain valid on the terms under which they were given.
